Hello!!

Do you want to become an expert in Emotional Quotient by just understanding a simple equation of it?

If yes, keep reading...

There are many things in this world which we can't accept it because of our perceptions, culture, environment, faith, trust and many more other reasons. In our daily life we came across with many problems, and many are of due to our EMOTIONS!

We have to manage our Emotions to live better, and for that we have to accept something which we can't accept and we have to reject something though we can't reject.

One has said very true, “Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions.”

Let see how you will be the master of Emotional Quotient. Read it and apply it!

When someone is doing something or is about to do something, in a way we don't want it to be done and when we are not able to accept it, we become angry.

However, when someone is doing something or is about to do something, in a way we don't want it to be done and we are able to accept it We remain tolerant.

When someone has something which we don't have, or someone is able to produce the results which we are not able to produce and we are not able to accept it we become jealous.

When someone has something which we don't have or someone is able to produce the results which we are not able to produce and we are able to accept it we get inspired.

When Someone is present in our thoughts, but if not physically present and we are not able to accept it We say 'I am missing you'.

When someone is present in our thoughts, but not physically present and we are able to accept it We say 'I am thinking of you'.

Then emotional equation is quite simple.

Something + Acceptance = Positive Emotion

Something + Non Acceptance = Negative Emotion

So, it is not 'Something' or 'someone' who is making us feel positive or negative, but it is our 'acceptance' or 'non acceptance' of something or someone, which is making us feel positive or negative.

It isn't the world but the quality of our response to the world (acceptance or non acceptance) that determines the quality of our emotions.

Next time we feel disturbed with a negative emotion, instead of asking who or what is disturbing us, we will examine who or what we are resisting (not accepting) that is causing this disturbance in us.

We will replace resistance (non acceptance) with acceptance, and the negative emotion will turn into a positive one.

Emotional management begins by stopping to blame that 'something' or 'someone' and starting

to take the responsibility to respond to life with 'acceptance'.

I'm sure you will be amazed by this equation! Hope you will do good in managing your emotions in future life.

Wish you a very happy life. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! :)

Hello everyone!
It is a long time that I have not shared my day with the universe. So from today I am resuming my blogging activity.

It was a sunny weather today morning in Ahmedabad.
Attended the two lectures in college and while returning we were three friends, I, Trilok and his friend. In between we had a Lassi at famous Lassi parlour Chamunda near Income Tax circle by Trilok.

In the evening time I watched the latest children's movie, CHILLAR PARTY! An awesome movie, a message from this movie is that we should love all, whether a man is a poor or rich. Also animals should be treated as a family member too. I love Bhidu...

Later, in dinner we had an Idli Sambhar made by my mother. After, I leaved for the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskardham near to my home and there we had a Gosthi (Discussion on a specific topic, Monthly). Where I gave a speech on the topic, "The Aim of Our Life" from the book, Swamini Vato. After at home I discussed the story of Chillar Party with my father and he showed his interest to watch the movie CP.

Good Night!
Nice Story

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; font-size: small;">A young man, a student in one of the universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students' friend for his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.

As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which were supposed to belong to a poor man who was working in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day's work . . .

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; font-size: small;">Student turned to the professor, saying: "Let us play the man a trick:
We will hide his shoes, and hide ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them ..."

"My young friend," answered the professor, "We should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor . . . But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of this poor man.

<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; font-size: small;">Put a coin in each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how this affects him.." The student did so and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by. The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes . . .

While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes, but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin. Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance.

He gazed upon the coin, turned it around and looked at it again and again.

He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen. He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin . . .

His feelings overcame him... He fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving in which he spoke of his wife, sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom this timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing...

The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears.

"Now," said the professor, are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?"
The youth replied, "You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget... I feel now the truth of these words, which I never understood before: "It's more blessed to give than to receive."

If you want happiness... .For a lifetime - help someone…

Jail to the corrupt a must! We have been betrayed by those that are leading us!

When & Where?
From 5th April at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi

Who is Anna Hazare?
A soldier, lone survivor in his unit in1965 Indo-Pak war, Anna dedicated his life to the well-being of society. A bachelor, an ascetic, he has no possessions, no bank balance and lives in a temple. He is a living Mahatma Gandhi!

In Maharashtra , Anna has single handedly transformed barren and dry regions into green and food surplus areas. He has fasted unto death on several earlier occasions. He forced the Maharashtra government to dismiss the corrupt - 6 ministers and 400 officers. Due to his fast, the govt enacted the Maharashtra RTI Act. In 2006, when government of India tried to amend the Central RTI Act, he again went on an indefinite fast and forced the Indian government not to amend RTI Act.

Leaders, organizations and the common man from across India will be with him. This is a do or die moment – let us make it happen!

Across India, join Swami Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Swami Agnivesh, Arch Bishop Vincent Concessao, Mahmood A Madani,Kiran Bedi, J M Lyngdoh, Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan, Arvind Kejriwal, Mufti Shamoom Qasmi, Mallika Sarabhai, Arun Bhatia, Sunita Godara, AllIndia Bank Employees Federation, PAN IIT Alumni Association, Common Cause and many other prominent organizations and leaders participatd as India comes out on the streets! 100+ CITIES WILL RALLY BEHIND ANNA!

This is a defining moment for India that can give our children a better future! Let us unite and standby him! Thousands will be there to support him. Will you be there?

Anna’s appeal to the people:
·When I sit on fast from 5 April, I urge my fellow countrymen to join me in fasting for one, two, three or whatever number of days you can comfortably fast.
·Along with fast, please pray to God (whoever you believe in) for better and corruption free India . Collective prayers from all the people of India would definitely have a huge impact.
·Write an impassioned plea to our Prime Minister that we look upon him to pass “Jan Lokpal Bill”, else we will be compelled not to vote for his party in next elections.
·Remain calm and peaceful and develop the courage to go to jail, if required, in this next freedom movement.
·If possible, come and stay with Anna at Jantar Mantar for a few days from April 5th.

Salient features of Jan Lokpal Bill

Drafted by Justice Santosh Hegde, Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal, this Bill has been refined on the basis of feedback received from public on website and after series of public consultations. It has also been vetted by and is supported by Shanti Bhushan, J M Lyngdoh, Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare etc. It was sent to the PM and all CMs on 1st December. However, there is no response.

JAN LOKPAL BILL

1.An institution called LOKPAL at the centre and LOKAYUKTA in each state will be set up
2.Like Supreme Court and Election Commission, they will be completely independent of the governments. No minister or bureaucrat will be able to influence their investigations.
3.Cases against corrupt people will not linger on for years anymore: Investigations in any case will have to be completed in one year. Trial should be completed in next one year so that the corrupt politician, officer or judge is sent to jail within two years.
4.The loss that a corrupt person caused to the government will be recovered at the time of conviction.
5.How will it help a common citizen: If any work of any citizen is not done in prescribed time in any government office, Lokpal will impose financial penalty on guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant.
6.So, you could approach Lokpal if your ration card or passport or voter card is not being made or if police is not registering your case or any other work is not being done in prescribed time. Lokpal will have to get it done in a month’s time. You could also report any case of corruption to Lokpal, like ration being siphoned off, poor quality roads been constructed or panchayat funds being siphoned off. Lokpal will have to complete its investigations in a year, trial will be over in next one year and the guilty will go to jail within two years.
7.But won’t the government appoint corrupt and weak people as Lokpal members? That won’t be possible because its members will be selected by judges, citizens and constitutional authorities and not by politicians, through a completely transparent and participatory process.
8.What if some officer in Lokpal becomes corrupt? The entire functioning of Lokpal/Lokayukta will be completely transparent. Any complaint against any office of Lokpal shall be investigated and the officer dismissed within two months.
9.What will happen to existing anti-corruption agencies? CVC, departmental vigilance and anti-corruption branch of CBI will be merged into Lokpal. Lokpal will have complete powers and machinery to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician.

JAN LOKPAL BILL will act as deterrent and instil fear against corruption
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10180271522456464589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-970528601671579971.post-67799505858304873332010-12-06T16:50:00.002+05:302011-01-28T17:07:01.628+05:30Don't Forget.

Day was 4 December 2010, I went to Crossword after my regular college sessions for new books. I was reading there magazine 'The Sunday Indian'. After some time my Grad. college Prof. Dr. S. A. Chintaman came to my table where I was reading. I stood up and shake hand with him. "I was here to buy some books", He said. He left after a minute.

I continued my reading. Suddenly he came to my table after some time and gave me a Paid Bill and said that you withdraw this CD when you go home! He just put a bill on my table and ran away outside the store. I go through to the bill. It was a paid bill of CD of Mr. Bean!

Why Mr. Bean CD?
Yes, When I was in graduation we(friends) often shares interesting things to him. Once I had given a CD of Mr. Bean to him. After some times I reminded him two times as generally and after that I forget it, but he knows it till today. He simply gave me a new CD after a long time.

I feel bad that what is the necessary of this CD now. But he pay me back. I thanked him after I left Crossword.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10180271522456464589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-970528601671579971.post-43981880151278526352010-09-02T19:43:00.001+05:302010-09-02T19:43:46.867+05:30Importance of effort and its application.A giant ship engine failed. So the Dean said they could have the re-test after 3 days.
They thanked him and said they would be ready by that time. On the
third day they appeared before the Dean.. The Dean said that as this
was a Special Condition Test, all four were required to sit in separate
classrooms for the test... They all agreed as they had prepared well in
the last 3 days.

Sudarshan Reddy has theoretically proven the existence of a sub-atomic particle, which can travel at speed greater than that of light, thereby challenging one of the fundamental postulates of the 'Theory of Relativity'.

In his recent research paper submitted to the Institute of Advanced Physics (IAP) at Trieste ( Italy ), Sudarshan has proved the existence of a class of sub-atomic particles called leptons', which can travel faster than light.

The international physics community is shocked by this discovery.

Dr.Massimo Martelli, President of the IAP has this to say about the paper submitted by Sudarshan. 'After long, careful and critical analysis, I can confidently say that Sudarshan's research papers show tremendous leap in our understanding of physics. His investigation

mounts up on 'leptons'.. Microsoft Europe.
5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate is Kantibhai Shah.
Bill Gates: "Thank you for coming. Those who do not know JAVA may leave".
2000 people left the room.
Kantibhai says to himself, "I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to
lose if I stay. I'll give it a try".
Bill Gates: "Candidates who never had experience of managing more than
100 people may leave."
2000 people left the room.
Kantibhai says to himself "I never managed anybody by myself but I
have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me?" So he stays.
Bill Gates: "Candidates who do not have management diplomas may leave".
500 people left the room.
Kantibhai says to himself, "I left school at 15 but what have I got to
lose?" So he stays in the room.
Lastly, Bill Gates asks candidates who do not speak the Serbo - Croat
language to leave..
498 people left the room.
Kantibhai says to himself, "I do not speak one word of Serbo - Croat
but what do I have to lose?"
So he stays and finds himself with only one other candidate. Everyone
else has gone.
Bill Gates joins them and said "Apparently you are the only two
qualified candidates who speak Serbo - Croat, so I'd now like to hear
you have a conversation together in that language."
Calmly, Kantibhai turns to the other candidate and says "Kem chho"

Swamishri answered instantly, "Of God." The sadhus looked on as Swamishri added, "Shall I tell you which thought I never have? I never think of hurting anyone. I always think well of them!"

How can someone like this be called human? Many humans have thought well of others, and even put it into action. But always? In Swamishri, not just springs, but torrents of fragrant thoughts and sweet actions gush out.

The common man is just not up to such open-heartedness. He slips into dispute with even his loved ones just as easily as he slips into bed every night. This is the ignorance that Swamishri has come to dispel. He travels around the world as a lantern of love.

Sometimes one wonders though, can everyone understand such subtle ideals? But Swamishri's patience and purity penetrate all - from womb to tomb.
For objects up to about 20 feet (6 to 7 meters) away, the binocular vision system lets us easily tell with good accuracy how far away an object is. For example, if there are multiple objects in our field of view, we can automatically tell which ones are farther and which are nearer, and how far away they are. If you look at the world with one eye closed, you can still perceive distance, but your accuracy decreases and you have to rely on visual cues, which is slower.

To see how much of a difference the binocular vision system makes, have a friend throw you a ball and try to catch it while keeping one eye closed. Also try it in a fairly dark room or at night, where the difference is even more noticeable. It is much harder to catch a ball with only one eye open than with two eyes open. If you want to try a quick test of your binocular vision, visit this Web site.

The binocular vision system relies on the fact that our two eyes are spaced about 2 inches (5 centimeters) apart. Therefore, each eye sees the world from a slightly different perspective, and the binocular vision system in your brain uses the difference to calculate distance. 'How heavy is this glass of water?'

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, 'The absolute weight doesn't matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.

If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it,

the heavier it becomes.'

He continued,

'And that's the way it is with stress management.

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,

As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,

We won't be able to carry on. '

'As with the glass of water,

You have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.

When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.'

'So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.

Don't carry it home.

You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now,

Let them down for a moment if you can.'

So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.

Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
And some days you're the statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet,
Just in case you have to eat them.

* Always wear stuff that will make you look good
If you die in the middle of it.

* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be
Recalled by their maker.

* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
It was probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can't dance well.
Just get up and dance.

* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything's coming your way,
You're in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world,
But you may also be the world to one person.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons...

Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull.

Some have weird names, and all are different colors,

but they all have to live in the same box.

*A truly happy person is one

who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10180271522456464589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-970528601671579971.post-8485264258471751232010-03-02T18:10:00.000+05:302010-03-02T18:10:02.312+05:30Mothers LOVE.A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:

For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:

For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me:
No Charge

For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you:
No Charge

For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years:
No Charge

For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead:
No Charge

For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose:
No Charge

Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is:
No Charge.

When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

You will never how much your parents worth till you become a parent.

Blind People Dream

Who become blind after birth can see images in their dreams. People who are born blind do not see any images, but have dreams equally vivid involving their other senses of sound, smell, touch and emotion. It is hard for a seeing person to imagine, but the body need for sleep is so strong that it is able to handle virtually all physical situations to make it happen.

You Forget 90% of your Dreams

Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream if forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone. The famous poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, woke one morning having had a fantastic dream (likely opium induced) - he put pen to paper and began to describe his vision in a dream in what has become one of English most famous poems: Kubla Khan. Part way through (54 lines in fact) he was interrupted by a Person from Porlock. Coleridge returned to his poem but could not remember the rest of his dream. The poem was never completed.
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.

Curiously, Robert Louis Stevenson came up with the story of Doctor Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde whilst he was dreaming.

Everybody Dreams

Every human being dreams (except in cases of extreme psychological disorder) but men and women have different dreams and different physical reactions. Men tend to dream more about other men, while women tend to dream equally about men and women. In addition, both men and women experience sexually related physical reactions to their dreams regardless of whether the dream is sexual in nature; males experience erections and females experience increased vaginal blood flow.

Dreams Prevent Psychosis

In a recent sleep study, students who were awakened at the beginning of each dream, but still allowed their 8 hours of sleep, all experienced difficulty in concentration, irritability, hallucinations, and signs of psychosis after only 3 days. When finally allowed their REM sleep the student’s brains made up for lost time by greatly increasing the percentage of sleep spent in the REM stage

We Only Dream of What We Know

Our dreams are frequently full of strangers who play out certain parts - did you know that your mind is not inventing those faces - they are real faces of real people that you have seen during your life but may not know or remember? The evil killer in your latest dream may be the guy who pumped petrol in to your Dad car when you were just a little kid. We have all seen hundreds of thousands of faces through our lives, so we have an endless supply of characters for our brain to utilize during our dreams.

Not Everyone Dreams in Color

A full 12% of sighted people dream exclusively in black and white. The remaining number dream in full color. People also tend to have common themes in dreams, which are situations relating to school, being chased, running slowly/in place, sexual experiences, falling, arriving too late, a person now alive being dead, teeth falling out, flying, failing an examination, or a car accident. It is unknown whether the impact of a dream relating to violence or death is more emotionally charged for a person who dreams in color than one who dreams in black and white

Dreams are not about what they are about

If you dream about some particular subject it is not often that the dream is about that. Dreams speak in a deeply symbolic language. The unconscious mind tries to compare your dream to something else, which is similar. Its like writing a poem and saying that a group of ants were like machines that never stop. But you would never compare something to itself, for example: That beautiful sunset was like a beautiful sunset. So whatever symbol your dream picks on it is most unlikely to be a symbol for itself.

Quitters have more vivid dreams

People who have smoked cigarettes for a long time who stop, have reported much more vivid dreams than they would normally experience. Additionally, according to the Journal of Abnormal Psychology: “Among 293 smokers abstinent for between 1 and 4 weeks, 33% reported having at least 1 dream about smoking. In most dreams, subjects caught themselves smoking and felt strong negative emotions, such as panic and guilt. Dreams about smoking were the result of tobacco withdrawal, as 97% of subjects did not have them while smoking, and their occurrence was significantly related to the duration of abstinence. They were rated as more vivid than the usual dreams and were as common as most major tobacco withdrawal symptoms.

External Stimuli Invade our Dreams

This is called Dream Incorporation and it is the experience that most of us have had where a sound from reality is heard in our dream and incorporated in some way. A similar (though less external) example would be when you are physically thirsty and your mind incorporates that feeling in to your dream. My own experience of this includes repeatedly drinking a large glass of water in the dream which satisfies me, only to find the thirst returning shortly after - this thirst… drink¦ thirst¦ loop often recurs until I wake up and have a real drink. The famous painting above (Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening) by Salvador Dali, depicts this concept.

You are paralyzed while you sleep

Believe it or not, your body is virtually paralyzed during your sleep - most likely to prevent your body from acting out aspects of your dreams. According to the Wikipedia article on dreaming, Glands begin to secrete a hormone that helps induce sleep and neurons send signals to the spinal cord which cause the body to relax and later become essentially paralyzed.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10180271522456464589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-970528601671579971.post-11554319385165143902010-02-26T20:53:00.001+05:302010-02-26T20:57:13.103+05:30Dr. Abdul Kalam's Letter to Every Indian
I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary.
